Net Slum

Kira sat on the large cell phone in Net Slum, Rumor stood a little ways away. They had been here for a while now just staring across the weird landscape. Just a few days ago the place had been locked up as tight as Fort Knox but now that it had a hacker back in charge of it Rumor had let it open back up as a area accessible through randomly spawning green portals that would show up in certain levels without any warning or discrimination of the levels area or root town.

"Hey Rumor" Kira called out turning to his friend.

Rumor didn't move at all just continued to stare out across the area. "Hmm?"

"How did you end up with the Net Slum? I mean your the leader of the Crimson Knights so how did you end up with the Hackers Paradise?" Kira asked. The question had been bothering him ever since Rumor gave him the area. All Rumor said at the time was to do with it what he wished.

"My mother gave it to me" Rumor replied simply.

Kira thought about it for a while "... the last hacker who had possession of the Net Slum ... that would be Helba?" Kira said smirking a little. Rumor only nodded not really wanting to talk about his mother. "So you are the son of the legendary hacker how interesting."

"What of it?" Rumor asked turning to look down at Kira frowning faintly. "People can lead more then one life you know, online she was the legendary hacker and bane of CC Corp ... Offline she was nothing more then my mom" he said before turning away. His mother had always been a sore spot with him. Out of everyone in the world she is who he missed the most.

"Wouldn't she be able to find a way fro you to get out of here?" Kira asked standing up slowly. "I mean she was almost more then a hacker she seemed to be able to do almost anything" he continue walking over to Rumor and grabbing his shoulder gently turning the smaller boy around.
