An idea/suggestion

I have noticed that vary few people have been rping in the ROD section. And I think the main reason for that is that no one really knows the plot of that side of the site. So I have a bit of a suggestion, I’ve noticed that people have created in the past characters that don’t really exist in the ROD setting, so my suggestion is what if we got rid of the ROD setting?

This is going to sound a little weird but my suggestion is that since no ones rping on that half of the site we get rid of it, and maybe do something else. instead of an anime like ROD why don’t we do something original and just have a bunch of super powered humans. This would mean that the app would have to be re done but it would also mean that people that want to have those weird characters like the mage or other stuff I noticed could have them. I will admit this idea does come from some of the beta footage of DC universe online that ive been watching, so it could just be temporary insanity on my part for suggesting this. but I do admit that the idea of super hero vs super villains is a lot easier to follow then what ever has happened over the last year of that half of the site.

If you need help with the apps or re making boards id happily lend my services. But again this is just an idea that I had and I wanted to throw it out there for everyone to read/mock/talk about. If its insanity then hay at least it was inspired by the joker :3.

Also I have a suggestion for the .hack side. would it be possible to have an offline board for threads labbled offline? That would just make it a little easier to navigate in my opinion.

I agree with the .Hack section with applying offline boards. Though the R.O.D section of the site has been mine and Rumor's project for the past two years, even if people don't want to RP in it, its still not something were just going to throw away. We can make a third section for something like the ideas you have that everybody can get involved with, but just ending the side of the site that has over 2 years of material is not something i'm willing to do.

While I do admit that the story has become slightly convoluted I am not going to let the current arc end and the previous parts of the site be forgotten. I also admit that the site could use some changes and have been thinking of a lot of things that mirror what you suggest. Now as to what I think we should do and what I will more then likely begin doing sometime later this week is opening up the site so that it isn't all to do with R.O.D. since a lot of the current and previous arcs have little to nothing to do with the original context. I will be going back through my characters, the template and thread information to make this all more streamline. The main issue here is more or less figuring out exactly how to revamp this section of the site so that it doesn't kill everything me and Jouten want to do along with making it more accessible for other role players. Hopefully within the next week or two you will see some changes that will be to your liking.
