A glimpse at the truth

A lone man awakes in a completely black room. The room is empty except his bed and a desk with four candles. The candles in his room are out so he lights a match and lits the 4 candles on his desk He walks outside and takes a breath of fresh air before heading back inside. He sits down on his bed and suddenly the candles go out " Ah now I see" he said. He quickly got changed and walked outside again to see that everyone at the temple was gone before smiling " Fate is very cruel. It looks like events are about to repeat themselves " he says as he begins to walk down through the temple grounds. Suddenly he notices a man with glasses walking towards him " Aaron? You shouldn't be here. You know what will happen if you come here" he said very coldly. Aaron pulled out a sheet of paper " Nagataka I know what happened all those years ago were devastating but Yui is gone now. Everything you worked for will be for nothing if Nitas succeeds. Right now nobody in this world can fight him except you" he stated.

Nagataka remained still and didn't change his glance " Aaron you don't know what happened 15 years ago. I can not leave here anymore. I'm something more then I once was so I can't help you" he said. Aaron adjusted his glasses " Even if the British Library and America's forces ban together they will all die" he said. Nagataka looked up " If I leave this entire world will die" he said. Aaron didn't waver at the words " I'm going to bring some people here then. I want you to meet them. You need to tell them your story" he said. Nagataka shook his head " Theres no one I want to see. If you want to bring someone here though go ahead though." he said walking back towards his one room house. Aaron still held the paper in his hand as sweat began to roll down his face " He doesn't feel like the same man anymore."

Jouten and Aiko turned to see Rumor following them " I guess Rumor's coming too" Aiko said. Jouten nodded " Well yeah looks that way. I'm going to land outside this city coming up" he said. Jouten landed the hawk familiar in a clearing of trees just outside a lively city " Now we wait for him to land' Jouten said as they got off the familiar.

[Eden]

Rumor moved the familiar down flying it into the ground and jumping off right before it hit the ground. Flipping quickly he landed on his feet as the familiar exploded outwards the paper swirling around Rumor and becoming a really thick cloak.

Jouten walked up to Rumor " Listen since you decided to follow us let me tell you the plan. We need to figure out where Salvation's main base of operations is. Were going to check that city over there to see if we can find anything." he quickly explained.

[Eden]

Rumor nodded quickly. "Are we going to be splitting up or would it be best to stay together?"

" We'll be sticking together. We will walk to the city and get information" Jouten said as he began to walk in the town's direction and Aiko silently followed him.

Rumor followed along silently watching Jouten closely

3 hours later

Jouten walked into a diner and sat down at a table " Come on Aiko, Rumor. We searched for 3 hours and found nothing." he said leaning back. Aiko sat down on the same side of the table and placed her head on the table " I'm so tired." she said.


A black forest far away from the outside world. Zane walked across the dead ground and stopped in front of Kain " So you made it seem like you died. What did you use that clone?" Zane asked. Kain remained still " I use whatever is necessary. We do have him though" he said as Carmack walked out from the shadows.

Rumor sat down across from Jouten frowning at Aiko as he fiddled around with a piece of paper forming it into a swan that he destroyed using a paper pac man. "I could just make a bunch of different looking clones and have them search around for us" he said as the pac man munched happily on the swan before collapsing on itself and becoming a rose.

Jouten took out a sheet of paper " Unless this piece of paper from Zack means anything. Its just a bunch of numbers" he said

[Eden]

"Usually sheets of paper always have a meaning you just have to be able to read them properly. If its numbers 0 and 1 then thats binary code but if all the numbers match the letters in the alphabet then its a different code. Really you just have to know enough about the person to be able to guess at it." Rumor said twirling the rose between his fingers. "I once saw an anime where the numbers related to the pages in a book that a person had written and from that they got the first word from every page and it spelled out a code."

Jouten took another look at the paper and realized it was now blank " Ah what the hell! Stupid useless piece of paper!" He shouted stomping on it repeatedly. Aiko sighed " Jouten its probably a special kind of ink. It might only respond to certain conditions" she said. Jouten nodded catching his breath ( If only i could figure out what to do. If I knew where these bastards were I wouldn't give them a moment of peace)

[Eden]

"Maybe acting so fast without learning everything we can about our opponents wasn't the best idea. If we are unable to even figure out how to decode a piece of paper left behind to us then how do you suppose we will be able to stand up to this whole organization at their base. Going there not only gives us a disadvantage but the fact that we don't know a lot about them." Rumor said crossing his arms on the table and resting his head on top of them.

Jouten sighed " I know that but I want to go on the offensive" he said putting the paper in his pocket.
