Jouten grinned as he looked at the city of Hong Kong coming into view from the car " Zack I can't believe after a couple of days were finally back!" he said excitedly. " You know your not supposed to talk to me while i'm driving. Anyway we can't use our powers or it will attract attention" Zack said pulling the car over to the side of the road.

Jouten got out and breathed the fresh air " Its good to be home but I still need something to bide my time. I think I will stick with you a little longer" Jouten said. " Uh fine whatever you say" Zack said stepping outside.

Jouten started walking down the road " Lets get going to the airport since you said we shoulden't use our powers" Jouten said laughing. " W..wait a second! What about the car?" Zack asked running after him. " Well we really don't want to use the same car for to long now right? Haha" Jouten said. " Great I don't know why I even listen to you. You should respect your elders Jouten" Zack said annoyed. " Whatever its just going to be a short 40 minute walk to the airport" Jouten said enjoying his time walking.

They finally made it into town after about half an hour of walking " So....you haven't heard from anyone when you tried calling them?" Zack asked lazily following behind Jouten. " No idea its not like I can just teleport to where they are either. It has to be a place I have been to before" Jouten said with his head slumped down. Zack nodded " Well its not all bad...I can't get in contact with my superiors so i'm kind of on my own now too haha. I can't even contact Fenir or Aaron" Zack said shaking his head.

Jouten looked around at the people going about their every day lives " Its funny how one moment every thing can be so peaceful and then the next there can be alot of pain" Jouten said. Zack shrugged " You shouldn't let it get you down. Anyway you have to be optimistic about things. Like me!" Zack said. Jouten nodded " Hey lets at least get something to eat in a cafe" Jouten said walking into a store. " ....let me guess....i'm buying" Zack said following him inside.

" So we don't actually know what to do next" Jouten said eating an ice cream sunday. " Nope were fresh out of goals. Some heroes we are" Zack said drinking an ice tea. Jouten nodded " Yeah your right we can't always be in a slump like this! If were going to be heroes we have to be more useful. Were basically detectives though" Jouten said with some thought. Zack nodded " We just have to go for something big then. Lets aim high and stop some badguys" Zack said taking out a pen " Hey give me a sheet of paper". Jouten sighed " Yeah since i'm a paper master I do have alot of paper" Jouten said handing him a piece. Zack took out his cellphone and began calling people. After a few minutes he wrote some things down " A few jobs but....not really enough" he said. " Well we tried right" Jouten said still munching on his ice cream.

Jean watched Zack and Jouten with interest from across the room. Her disguise worked well enough with sunglasses and a hat that neither of them would figure out who she was. " Yeah.....they are both here...understood...I will continue to follow them and see what Zack will do" Jean said hanging up. The first part of her mission was complete so she remained silent as she pretended to read the newspaper.

Zack's cellphone started ringing nonstop and he stood up excitedly " Hello this is Zack Skyier. Oh what!? I got it. Ok I will go there right away" Zack said looking at Jouten with a grin. " So whats going on?" Jouten asked eagerly. " I just got a mission in to stop a thief thats here in Hong Kong" Zack said leaning back. " Thief? Hmm I faced a thief here once. She was a women though." Jouten explained. " Well were supposed to stake out some rich guys house to try to catch the thief" Zack explained. " So what is he trying to steal?" Jouten asked in a serious tone. " Did not say, the thief only left a letter that he would strike the mans house tonight and rob him blind" Zack said. " Well what are we sitting around here for!? Lets get moving and stop this thief!" Jouten shouted running out of the diner. Zack sighed " I did not even tell him where were going yet....." he said following him out the door.

Jean smiled watching them leave the diner " All according to plan" she said smiling to herself.

A few hours later....

Jouten and Zack walked up to a courtyard that spanned a large distance and led to the mansion. " The owner is out of town but he left the place open to us. First we'll wait outside to see if anything happens" Zack said pulling out his sword. Jouten placed his backpack on the ground and opened it reveal it was full of paper. " Wow you think you have alot their for a common thief?" Zack asked. " No I have a feeling this won't be easy and it usually never is" Jouten said placing some paper in his hoody that he was wearing.

" The sun's setting so this will be around the time the thief starts his move" Zack said looking around. " We should split up to make the job easier" Jouten said picking up his backpack. " You look like your a school kid with those clothes and that bag instead of looking like a detective" Zack said. Jouten looked angrily at Zack " Hey I can wear what I want to Zack I kind of don't have many to choose from at the moment" he mumbled. " Why don't you make paper clothes?" Zack suggested. " Nope I need the paper for combat and we need to get moving also" Jouten said. " Fine fine. You can take the inside and I will check out the whole courtyard" Zack said pacing off. Jouten nodded and walked up the stone steps to the mansion.

Jouten walked around the first floor of the mansion, checking all the rooms he came across, until he made it back to the main corridor. " Sheesh its like a giant maze." Jouten said holding his head in frustration. " Yes and its a perfectly nice maze isn't it?" a voice said from behind Jouten. Jouten spun around " Who are you!? Show yourself!" Jouten shouted. " Why is that any way to greet an old friend" the boy said stepping out in front of him. " Carmack!" Jouten said looking at him in shock. Carmack walked slowly up to Jouten " I'm not here to fight. I just want to talk." Carmack said. ( This could easily be a trap...but Hoa is gone now so whos he working for?) Jouten thought. " Why should I even trust you?" Jouten asked. " Well truth be told I hired Zack for this assignment and this is my house after all." Carmack said with an evil grin. " ......Ok I will hear you out. I'm waiting until Zack gets here though" Jouten said. " Very well...he should have encountered my companion by now" Carmack said.


Zack wiped the sweat from his brow and looked up at the moon in the sky " Damn its one hell of a view out here.....Right Jean?" Zack said holding out his katana in front of him. " Sharp as always Zack. When did you figure out I followed you?" Jean said stepping out from behind a tree. " Since the Cafe duh. So what is it that you want this time Jean?" Zack said. " Well I have been given a task to investigate you but I don't feel like that at the moment. I thought I would visit as an old friend" she said. Zack smiled " Really ever time I asked you to go out with me your refused stating we were only business partners" Zack said amused. " I'm not interested in the heroic type Zack. They always seem to die an early death" she explained. " Well not me. So are you going to explain why your here?" Zack asked looking intensely at her. Jean grabbed Zack by the arm " Well lets go see my partner then shall we?" she said leading him towards the mansion.
