Wayward Emotions

[Eden]

Rumor looked over his shoulder at the research center he had seen Jouten and the others go into. He raised his hand to the side of his face and over the roman numeral beneath his eye. In a large flash of light and crack he was gone leaving only scorch marks on the floor. He appeared back in the Citadel. He was in his library which was the largest one in the whole building spanning nearly two wings by itself. Everything here was larger then on Earth though since there was room then the Immortal thought they might as well make use of it. This was the only place in the Citadel where the servants were forbidden from entering. Here and Rumor's rooms were off limits to them since he didn't like the idea of keeping humans as servants in the Citadel. But someone was in fact in the library besides Rumor. Pulling a piece of paper from his sleeve he began to make his way down the aisles looking around all of the corners looking for the intruder. Who he found though wasn't who he had expected.

Eden sat in one of the man chairs that were placed around the library reading a battered tome. When Rumor came near the other boy looked up smiling. As he moved it was easy to see the numbers on his cheek XIII. When Rumor saw the numbers he hurriedly backed up bringing the paper in between them. He began to run through the numbers in his head trying to find out how it was the organization had thirteen members now. He knew they were down members after the Immortal Four were killed but he didn't remember ever seeing a Twelve.

[Eden]

"Aren't you happy to see me Rumor?" Eden asked getting up from the chair and putting the book on its arm before crossing over to the other boy.

Rumor looked at Eden warily moving back until he was pressed against the book case. He kept the paper raised in between the two of them keeping it as far as he could to prevent Eden from getting near to him. "Who is number twelve?" he asked locking eyes with Eden.

"Number Twelve? why are you worried about her shouldn't you be happy with me here instead?" Eden asked frowning at Rumor. "I cam back to be with you Ru can't you just let me do that?"

Rumor growled before flinging his arm out along the bookcase paper spilling forth and flooring the whole library. Rumor teleported to a higher level looking down into the sea of paper until Eden surfaced. "Who is number twelve Eden? Tell me now and I won't kill you"

Eden shook his head looking up at Rumor. "You wouldn't kill me and you know it your to much in love with me to do that aren't you?" When Rumor didn't respond Eden continued taunting a look of triumph on his face. "Why do you think Number One brought me back? You could never harm me"

Rumor looked down at the sea of papers before raising his hand above him. "Your right Eden. I could never kill you but thankfully you aren't the Eden I know anymore so this doesn't count" He said as the paper began to swirl around and upward leaving Eden at its center. The other boy was lifted into the air before being squished underneath the paper as it condensed around him. "You should have told me who Number Twelve was" he said letting the body fall to the ground as the paper returned to its place.
