The street corner was completely blocked out by the large crowd of people standing in front of the book store. Jouten watched as the people excitedly yelled and screamed " What the hell is this about? These people are blocking my way" he said annoyed with his luck. Jouten attempted to walk through the crowd but was caught in the large tangle of people and actually was pushed closer to the book store. Jouten finally was able to stand in one place and looked around at the people like they were crazy. " Whats going on I wonder" he asked himself. He felt a tap on his shoulder and turned around to see a girl about his age with blue hair,pink shirt, and a black skirt, she also had a pretty smile. " You asked what we are doing? We are waiting for the release of the new CityCrisis novel" she explained. Jouten blushed surprised at the fact the girl decided to talk to him " Oh really? I guess its really popular huh? I wouldn't know since I don't read much" he said hiding his face.

The girl smiled " You should read this book though. Anyway my name is Aiko Hiroshi. Whats your name?" she asked politely but quickly holding out her hand. Jouten faced her again " Names Jouten Kira and I recently moved to Tokyo." he said taking her hand and shaking it. " Cool name! Jouten huh? We should be friends. We probably even go to the same school" Aiko said cheerfully. " Haha yeah thats right we probably do if its the local high school down a few blocks" Jouten said watching her. " Yup thats it! Hey I know follow me!" she said running through the crowd. Jouten stayed behind for a split second " I think i'm in love" he said dazed by the girl he met. He quickly pulled himself together and hurried after Aiko.

Aiko pushed her way through the crowd and turned to see if Jouten was following. She saw that he had worked his way through and he ran up to her. Jouten gave out a sigh of relief " Glad thats over. So what did you want to show me?" he asked. Aiko raised her right hand and pointed out to the view of the sky. The sun was low in the sky and there were many different vibrant colors Jouten saw " Its so amazing" he said. Aiko took a step back " Yeah. I come here almost everyday to watch the sunset" she said with that smile Jouten liked. " Heh you know your like the first friend I made since arriving here. Thanks for talking to me" he said with an embarrassed grin. Aiko laughed " No problem! I can tell alot about a person by hearing their voice and looking in their eyes. I saw alot of conflict but also a sense of warmth. I think your a pretty interesting boy Jouten" she explained staring directly in his eyes.

Aiko then placed her hands on Joutens face " Really you have some incredible eyes Jouten" she said. Jouten blushed even redder then before " Umm you have have great eyes too. Actually I like your face also" he said completely red. Aiko let go of his face " Thankyou. Well you want to hang out some? I can show you my house if you have nothing better to do" she said. Jouten looked at the sky then back to Aiko " Its getting pretty late though" he said. Aiko grabbed his hand and started dashing down the street " We'll worry about that later so come on Jouten!" she shouted excitedly. Jouten sighed as he was dragged by Aiko but he also was smiling.

They stopped outside a large house at the edge of town. Aiko yelled " Well here we are! Come on this way!". Jouten follwed behind her as they entered the house. Inside was a large living room with the kitchen at the other end and stairs that led upstairs " Wow this is a big house. Your family must be pretty big huh?" he asked. Aiko smiled and shook her head " Nope. Its only me and my big brother that live here" she said. " Just you and your brother? What happened to your parents?" Jouten asked. Aiko thought for a moment " Well they.... I guess they left when my brother and me were little. They left us this house completely payed off though and the government helps my brother and me live by ourselves" she explained.

Jouten nodded then realized something " Hey wait a second didn't you want to get that book?" he asked. Aiko laughed " Nah its ok I will pick it up some other time. After all something more important happened. I made a new friend" she said. Jouten laughed himself now more then he had in a long time " Thats right. Friends are important" he said catching his breath. Aiko stood up " i'll go get us a drink" she said darting to the kitchen. Ahe came back and tossed Jouten a coke " Sorry we don't have much to do here" she said. Jouten sipped his coke " Ah actually its fine. I enjoy the simple things"
