Aiko walked into her house and held her breath. Jouten silently followed her. Aiko looked around and yelled " Hideaki are you home!?". A shuffling noise was heard in the living room and Aiko's brother Hideaki stepped out and said " Yeah i'm home I was just taking a nap. Whos your friend Aiko?". Aiko smiled " This is Jouten Hideaki. Hes a papermaster like us and he goes to our school" she explained. Hideaki studied Jouten a moment and said " Papermaster huh? Its not often we meet other papermasters". Jouten laughed " Well I know quite a bit of papermasters myself. My sisters are all papermasters" he stated. Hideaki nodded " Thats cool someone else with power around here. You might actually be the first boy Aiko has ever brought home." he said grinning.

Aiko smiled and walked past Hideaki " I'll get us all a snack" she said. Hideaki turned to Jouten " Did you notice anything weird at the school yesterday Jouten?" he asked. " Yeah actually I do but lets wait until Aiko gets back because she already knows" Jouten suggested. Hideaki sighed and nodded. Aiko came back with brownies and Jouten preceded to tell Hideaki everything about himself and the current threat.

Jouten watched as Hideaki's expression changed " So your saying this organization is willing to destroy the world in war. Thats nuts" Hideaki exclaimed. Jouten nodded " Yeah and it seems like they are targeting anyone with special abilities like us. I'm curious as to how you and Aiko are papermasters" he said. Hideaki took a breath and looked at Aiko who nodded her head. Hideaki looked at Jouten and said " Well both our parents were papermasters so its only natural we have powers. Our dads side of the family was a clan of papermasters known as the Hiroshi clan and they were widely regarded. They helped ancient Japan through tough times" Hideaki explained. " So what happened to your parents?" Jouten asked. Aiko stood up and replied " They died years ago in a accident. They left behing us this house fully paid so Hideaki and me could live by ourselves". Jouten looked at the ground and said " I'm sorry". Hideaki laughed and said " You have nothing to feel sorry for. Its over and done with now."

Jouten stood up after their conversation was over " I should be going now. It was nice to meet you Hideaki." he said. Hideaki smiled " I'm just glad my sister has a friend. Since we arrived in Japan all shes been able to do is read books. Being a papermaster at times is a burden. Its the reason I neglect my powers. Well I hope everything works out for you" he said. Jouten nodded and walked out the door. Aiko ran up to him and handed him a sheet of paper " Our numbers on this so call whenever you want" she said smiling. Jouten grinned " I will thanks Aiko. See you at school" he said walking towards home.

Jouten walked through the city watching the people continue their daily lives. It was hard for him to imagine the world destroyed, these people dead. Jouten stopped walking " Damn it I have to do something. I can't stop here and let those bastards get away with hurting people. What should I do?" he asked himself. Suddenly Aaron appeared to his side and said " Well lets do something about it. You want power I can help". Jouten nodded " Yes I need the power to fight on par with Salvation" he said. Aaron smiled " Then allow us to get started" he said snapping his fingers. They suddenly appeared in what looked like the inside of a cave " How did you do that!? Where are we?" Jouten asked looking around their dark surroundings. Aaron turned to Jouten " This is where you will train. This is where many men have lost faith in everything. This is where evil is born"
