A New Threat Appears

Ace's eye's widened and his voice came out in a loud roar as the energy hit it's final stage, his arm pulsating with the deadly energy. His left arm was larger than his right and the muscles trembled as he took a single step forward. His entire visage that of an enraged force of nature. His eye's were slits on top of his now more savage appearance. He Roared again and the ground cracked underneath him.

"Hey Kain, want to feel what it's like to be devoured by pure power?" As chuckled as he rushed forward his body blurring as he moved forward He threw his arm forward and felt it punch straight into Kain's body. Thank gods Joutens attack damaged it otherwise he might have lost control of his attack trying to give Kain the full effect of the blow. Ace could feel his hand grab a blade and grinned. "Fist of the Shaorai." He said unleashing the energy in full tilt. The energy the universe filled both combatants, as Kain's body was filled with the energy and it devoured him using the energy in his very cells to eat him from the inside out.

"Jouten could you disengage me? Because this Really, REALLY, REALLY, hurts! I'm not sure I can survive much longer attached to this guy-" Ace felt his organs starting to take damage and coughed up a bit of blood. Oh well this was a bad sign, he found himself breathing hard and was about to collapse forget about collapsing he was beating eaten alive by his own attack this sucked worse than anything he had ever remembered doing, something told him that this was worse than things that he had even forgotten. He would need time to recuperate before he would be able to do anything else if he got out of this alive. What he didn't notice was while he was experiencing his own attack the energy had taken a physical form.

A large dragon made out of Ace's attack rose from kain's back and roared loudly before opening it's jaws and slamming itself down upon him lighting and flames throwing themselves everywhere the room was charred and melted slightly in multiple areas but ace had managed to keep it focused in Kain's body. if he could talk after this he couldn't be an earthling.

Jouten grabbed onto Ace, and pulled him away just in time.

" That move really was risky wasn't it? You need to be more careful" he said breathing hard.

Suddenly the energy Ace released burned out, and all that was left was a burned up crater. He tried sensing if Kain was still alive, but he couldn't muster the energy. All he could do for now was acknowledge Kain wasn't here at the moment or actually dead.

Jouten wiped sweat and blood from his brow, and looked around at the room they were standing in. He just realized it looked like some sort of research room, with flasks and giant tubes all around ; " Great, looks like they were doing some shady stuff"

He fell over and pushed himself back up ; " Crap, that transformation was definitely to much"

Ace wasn't so lucky as soon as the support Jouten provided him was gone he found he wasn't able to stand and smacked into the ground. He growled annoyed as his situation he didn't even have the ability to heal himself after that.

"Risky as all Hells...and the after affects suck but it was the only move I had that could actually kill that guy. You have anything to get us on our feet? Or will we have to do this the hard way?" He asked, managing to sit up but no get to his feet. He looked at his left arm it was burned but all the burns made a rather magnificent looking patter upon his arm. "Oh Blazing Hells, I've been marked for that last attack. I guess pure power doesn't appreciate being called by such a small fry like me." He said a little dejectedly. "This turned out be to the worst thing I've ever done."

Jouten breathed loudly, sensing the tension in his own body begin to give. He sat down, sweat pouring down his face ; it was difficult for him to catch his breath, but he managed a smile.

" I don't think it was your fault. We were against a powerful opponent, we were going to die, and you saved us. Now I don't know if Kain really died or not, but we definitely put him out of commission for awhile. Meaning there should only be Roze and Zane left running the show here, two more members, and then we can lay their plans to rest. Though I definitely don't have a way to heal us at the moment, the best we can do is wait here and rest"

Suddenly footsteps were heard at the other end of the room, and a shadow like figure approached from out of the elevator.

Jouten attempted to sharpen a sheet of paper but couldn't muster the energy. He didn't have any backup plans for this kind of situation. He never imagined one member would be enough to drain both Ace and him to this point.

Ace sighed as jouten spoke. It was hard, painful even but the thought that his attack might not have killed kain was too much to bear. He instead tried to laugh it off and found the pain a bit easier to bear.

"If he survived that, he's no immortal, that attack was specifically design to kill those immune to death." He said chuckling, then he heard the foot steps and cursed. There wasn't anything he could do to defend himself he could only hope that Jouten had some type of back up that that could be. "Weren't prepared enough..." He muttered darkly his eye's narrowing to see who had come for to find them.

" Don't worry, I have one last technique in my bag!" Jouten shouted raising both his hands at the figure. It was a bluff, but it was the best he had.

" Whoa calm down there. Don't you recognize who I am?" the figure said.

Jouten leaned in closer to try to adjust his eyes, and finally the figure came into view. Carmack was standing there, almost completely healthy, but missing his left hand. Carmack grinned a little, but there was a stressful tone to his face.

" Carmack, so you really were alive." he said trying to contain his surprise.

" Yep, I am alive. Though I was tortured." he quickly explained walking up to Jouten and holding out his right hand. Jouten took his hand, and Carmack pulled him up off the ground.

Carmack looked from Ace to Jouten ; " Looks like you guys got beat up pretty badly. By the way, just letting you know, you didn't kill Kain. Hes not dead, but badly wounded"

Jouten looked from Ace to Carmack in shock ; " What?"

" If you may have noticed, I'm missing my left hand. Don't you remember the last time you encountered Kain, he should have claimed to have eaten me with his Dragon Eater, and have used my powers. He didn't exactly lie about that, he may have not killed me, but all he needs is a small part of one's self to gain their abilities. He probably used my Master of Illusion abilities to trick you into using your final attacks on a dummy, while he himself escaped. I don't know what he would be doing now, but I know most of their plans have begun to fall apart. I managed myself to break out of their little prison and raise a little hell" Carmack explained as he spun around a pistol with his right hand.

"Knowing that he had eaten part of an illusionist might have been helpful." Ace chuckled, he was furious because only now did he realize he had left himself open the the powers of illusion, deep in his thoughts he now had a deep seated hatred against kain no one survived the Shaorai fist. Soon he'd find him and rectify this exception. However that was in the back of his mind at the forefront was getting himself back on his feet and able to defend himself.

'it's seems your still not ready, that was a foolish mistake to make Ace.' the Jade spoke to his mind.

"Didn't see you helping you stupid rock how about you get off my case I don't need a back seat driver." Ace murmured back he knew how the jade operated by now and he knew that for all extents and purposes it may be an even worse enemy to him than whatever group he had thrown himself against but it had him by the balls and he really had no where to go.

'You were not ready, your mind too immature and your body underdeveloped. On top of that you may have permanently damaged yourself. The last user who bore me died because of a similar situation, I would prefer if our agreement did not become a rerun of my last.'

"I stopped listening after 'You were not ready.' " Ace said simply. "No offense, er Carmack? It's great we have another ally but can you help us to our feet I'm getting a bit bored arguing with myself over here."

Carmack smirked ; " No problem. See what I have here?"

He held out a container of multicolored pills, containing about 10 total ; " Each one of these can completely heal a person and give him a renewed sense of energy. The only thing it doesn't do is heal deep wounds, it can stop the bleeding and pain, but its only a temporary fix." he said as he threw a red pill to Jouten and a blue pill to Ace.

Jouten quickly put the pill in his mouth, and swallowed it. He suddenly felt his body become light, and felt the energy flow back into him ; " Oh yeah! I feel better then ever!"

Ace sighed and snatched the pill out of the air feeling his arm flare up n protest to the rapid movement. Ace popped it real quick and felt the drug do it's work. Energy flowing into him and pain flowing out he chuckled at that as he looked at his arm, Still burned but functional this way at least he could make it up for drawing on power without her permission. First though he had to finish his business here, then he had to find that monster Kain, Ace was a bit of a perfectionist, he didn't do the job right and now he had to find that man and make sure it was done correctly this time. He could already tell he was getting a bit obsessed with it.

"Not my ideal way of getting the day started but it works." He said now having his ability back he went to work on repairing his body on a deeper level, he could only ignore damaged organs for so long. "That's much better. Definitely a good thing, I can fight again." He said as his eye's switched to seeing primordial energy flowing around. He would be back to top condition a few seconds now, odd how much energy was in this place. and he was thinking about posing the question to the others. He frowned as he watched everything flow. "What's drawing all this power? When kain was here it seemed plausible to assume he was the cause but there's something else causing this draw." He said looking around. "I guess that's why you were here in the first place?"

Jouten looked gravely at Ace ; " This power you sense is probably from the various machines here, that or Nitas has found a way to regain a body" he quickly explained.

Carmack moved past Ace and Jouten ; " We need to leave you two, before the creatures they have been breeding awake. You just happened to arrive before they unleashed these things unto the world."

Jouten grabbed Carmack by his right shoulder, stopping him ; " What do you mean creatures? Normal everyday creatures are not a big deal"

Carmack shook his head, and brushed his hair back ; " Not normal creatures by any means. The stuff of legends, Demonic creatures supposedly from hell. Its not to far fetched, considering that Nitas explained he came from there as well. These creatures cannot be killed, only stalled. They will continuously re-spawn, but you can delay each one by about 30 minutes when you kill one. I know from experience, I killed a few on my way here. "

Jouten nodded his head in agreement, he understood very well that they had to get out of there. He ran towards the door ; " Come on you two! We will die unless we can meet up with Zack and the others. For now we most avoid all contact with those creatures!"

Carmack sighed and started after Jouten ; " Easier said then done "

Ace grinned and began to follow Jouten.

"Monsters from hell, some things never change do they?" Ace chuckled, catching up. "I guess I can't escape one nightmare without walking into another it seems." He twisted his wrist and looked back at Carmack. "This man Nitas? He comes from Hell? What do you know about him if anything?" He asked now needing more context on the situation. Hells if he was to be of any use he needed to know what was going on right?

Carmack shrugged "There are alot of legends and rumors concerning him, its hard to shift through them all to get the truth".

Jouten quickly spoke up ; " I know almost everything concerning him, considering I have battled against him in the past. See I myself am closely connected to him, in more ways then one."

" How so?" Carmack asked as he pushed open a secret door hidden in the wall.

" Nitas is a tiny piece of the devil's hatred, let loose upon our world to cause bloodshed. Nitas is Satin spelled backwards, so that's pretty obvious. He's basically a demon spawned from the King of hell directly, and he thrives on hatred. He started the organization Salvation thousands of years ago to remain hidden in the shadows, and from the shadows they purposely caused several wars. Nitas recruited more and more members, and granted them immortality to be able to help him in his plans. Most of them joined because he promised true peace, while he secretly just wanted to cause the world itself to crumble. Several members you have met I think, including Hoa, Aaron, and Fenir. But now they are all Ex-members. Hoa broke off from Salvation because he cared about the planet, and only wanted to kill humans, but Nitas wanted just mass destruction. Alot of the most insane and bloody wars fought were controlled by Nitas and Salvation." Jouten explained.

Carmack turned back to Jouten as the wall fully opened ; " That still doesn't explain how hes connected to you Jouten"

Jouten took a deep breath ; " There was a group of Angels that tried to stop Nitas before he formed himself on Earth. One of these angles was named Shunketsu, and he managed to wound Nitas to the point where he formed unstably here on Earth. When Shunketsu realized he couldn't follow Nitas directly to Earth himself, he decided he needed a host, so he himself turned into a soul, and that soul went into a newborn baby. That baby happened to be me, so you can say I am the reincarnation of Shunketsu, I even learned to control his powers to a degree. I feel like its my responsibility to stop Nitas even more so because of that"

Carmack nodded his head, standing there in the doorway ; " How hasn't Nitas outright killed you in the past, or any of us then? If he knew who you were, then he must have realized the danger you could cause."

Jouten shook his head ; " Nitas can't act because of the guardian. Ever since Nitas first walked on this planet, there has always been a tribe of humans that sealed half of his power away just by living. Over the generations, this clan has lost alot of members, but there is still one left alive, and his name is Nagataka. Him being alive has made it so Nitas couldn't outright destroy the planet"

Carmack slapped himself in the face, and then laughed ; " That truly is alot to wrap your mind around. I never knew Nitas had so many secrets, but now at least I know hes not human"

"Demons, Angels, Hell, Satin. I guess I now know why the demon gates lead me back here, if this is my world. Honestly the problem being demons rather than people simplifies things for me no need to hold back on those types of creatures." He said flexing his arm he looked up at his circumstancial allies. "Well then you can explain the rest once we meet up with your friends I for one plan on putting my resources to finding Kain and Planting my foot firmly between his lungs."

Jouten nodded. It was time to finish this fight, and he would sink this entire island if he had to.
