British Library Branch III- South Pole
Morie stood at one of the large windows that ran the length of one wall in her office. She had her lips pursed tightly and was watching as a large storm waged on outside of the protective bubble that the buildings were in cased in. The branch had been cut off since the start of the war that was now waging leaving her powerless with the forces of nature keeping her hostage while the rest of the library fought. She was kept up to date by the other leaders via her power to hear thoughts but after the loss of Rumor the others had become frantic and listening to them had become progressively harder to do. There was only one person that still had a calm mind though and that was Susan. The branch XII leader calmed down a few days after Rumor's disappearance though instead of becoming easy to read her mind became clouded somehow. Morie was able to see into the other woman's mind but everything was foggy and she wasn't able to get anything out of it. The one thing she was certain of however was that Susan was hiding something from the rest of them and to be able to hide anything from Morie's power was a feat worth recognizing.
The tall woman turned away from the windows and looked back to her desk at a picture she had framed sitting on the corner. Standing in the photo were both her and Rumor. The picture had been taken on their first day to the branch and both of them looked excited to be there. Morie looked different in the photo though. Her eyes seemed to show less of her true age then they did now. Rumor however looked almost the same as he did on the last day she saw him. She knew why she hadn't changed but Morie doubted that she would ever know the paper masters secret for staying eternally young.
She felt something warm run down her cheek and raised her hand up to stop it. She felt the wet trail on her cheek before noticing that she had started crying at some point. Morie couldn't feel Rumor at all anymore and while she wished and hoped that this meant he was just hidden she knew that it really only could be one thing. The other man was dead. He had to be dead to not appear when she sought after him. She was never able to read the boys mind but the comfort of just feeling his presence was enough for her to get by but even that was missing now.
Morie turned again towards the window letting her tears fall more freely now as she looked up at the sky as the storm continued on around her and inside of herself.

Tsumetai sighed placing her palms down on the work bench moving the large shield she had been working on away from her. She placed her head against the cool ice of the work surface relishing in the slight reprieve from the stress she was under. With war looming on the horizon her whole branch had been turning out artifacts at a dangerous rate ignoring all concern for well being in favor of sending out every artifact they could to help the other branches before for whatever was to come. Tou had told her that her skills would be better suited to this task and had refused to let her accompany the others to the battlefield. She knew that she might look like a young child but she was almost certain that she was older then almost everyone else in the organization and disliked being left behind in times of strife.
"Rumor wouldn't have made me sit this one out" she mumbled to herself crossing her arms in front of her she began pouting. "He would have let me go the minute he made the decision to march to war" she continued on muttering to herself darkly before she realized what she was saying. "Rumor" she whispered softly the rooms temperature dipping with her mood. If he was still around then she knew that this war wouldn't have happened. He would have stopped all the bad guys for them and kept everyone safe.
"Why did you leave us" she cried tears rolling down her face as the water in the air began condensing and falling to the floor making it seem like it was raining.
British Library Branch V - Island of Thule (478 BC)
Ryuu grunted loudly scratching the stubble that appeared on his chin. He stood next to a large tombstone that depicted a man standing proudly with his arm outstretched and a sword held out. He knew the monument was for Arthur but he had never bothered to check to see if a body was even placed underneath the stone creation.
He rolled his shoulders in agitation. Since Rumor's disappearance or death the island he called home seemed to be throwing some kind of fit. The land didn't stay in one time for very long and it seemed reluctant to heed his plea to return to the present day and help in the fighting. It kept all of his warriors and himself further away then any other place on earth could. They might be geographically near where the fighting was happening but right now they were nearly 2,500 years to early to help out in it.
"You stupid hunk of rock" he muttered turning away from the grave and walking back down the well worn path to the village he and the other warrior made home. Being around them was almost as bad as being next to the monument but he knew that they would need him now. Being the strongest army the world have ever seen came with a draw back that kept them all in need of someone or something to fight against. If they were back in the right time it wouldn't be an issue but having to suffer through the islands time traveling misbehavior was beginning to wear on his warriors morale.
Without someone to fight he knew that beyond a shadow of a doubt they would turn to fighting one another and once that started it was only a few minutes away from escalating out of hand and he didn't need that stress added to his plate. His only hope was that Rumor might come and lead them all to battle once more though he knew that it was a long shot since the island would only be acting this badly if something terrible had happened to the boy.
"You better be okay brat otherwise your going to have to answer to me" he mumbled under his breath clenching his fist tightly. "I will give you the worst beating of your life specially if your dead"

Meimu was livid. The young looking girl was stomping up and down the halls of her lavish castle snapping her fan open and closed loudly scaring everyone she walked by. She had been left out of the war by Tou and this made her want to go on a killing spree. He had given her all kinds of excuses almost all of them ending in his inability to trust her. The other branch leader had been smart enough to never allow her the chance to get eye contact though so the decision hadn't been over turned. Meimu was aware that the other branch leaders liked to keep their distance from her and that no one besides Rumor would ever openly seek her help but she never thought that her inability to play nice would result in something like this happening.
"I cannot believe he refused to let me go" She screamed causing people down the halls to jump in alarm before scurrying away from there leader. Meimu snapper her fan open turning to one of the large vases that lined this particular hall way.
"The next time I see that shadow of a man I'm going to make him relive every nightmare that humanity has ever experienced" she seethed bringing the fan down in a wide arc sending out a number of barely visible threads that raped around the vase before jerking her arm back and slicing the object to shreds.
Meimu stood there for a while breathing heavily trying to keep herself together. "Rumor" she whispered sullenly turning and walking down the hallway having lost the anger she held while thinking of the only person she had ever truly trusted.
British Library Branch XI - Hong Kong
Karen brushed some strands of hair from her eyes trying to focus on the task she had been given. She knew that her branch wouldn't be up the task of fighting in the war but when Susan had approached her with a specific task she agreed readily trying to ignore the absurdity of the request.
The other leader has asked her to make a large number of suppressants that would work on keeping a person's power levels at a fraction of their usual amount. Alice had been told to help her as well and between the two of them a number of suppressors were made. Every time the two girls would finish one they would contact Susan and she would come and pick it up from them. Usually about two hours later she would then return and ask them to create something more powerful.
After a number of tries Karen and Alice had manged to create something so potent that if anyone was to use it then there power levels would be brought down so far that it would make even a god seem like nothing more then a human. The two of them never asked what it was being used for though and allowed the woman to take the suppressant. When she returned though she asked them to instead start making the same thing in the shape of a lollipop and for them to make as many as they possibly could.
Alice and Karen began work immediately and had been doing almost nothing since. The two of them worked on ways to keep it from fading and in the end managed to create multiple lollipops that would suppress a persons powers to cripplingly low levels while not being absorbed. It basically allowed the person to use the same one for an unlimited amount of time if they chose too.
"what are you adding to it now?" Alice asked watching as Karen carefully injected the current batch of lollipops with a red liquid.
The other girl turned to her a small sad smile on her face. "I'm making them strawberry flavored" she said softly turning back to spray a little more of the mixture onto the candy before setting it aside.
"You know that if these were for Rumor Susan would have told us" Alice said softly walking over to her friend and placing a hand on the other girls shoulder. "I don't think we will be making anything for him for a long time Karen and I know it might be hard but I think that you need to move on at least a little bit. Rumor isn't with us anymore and we need to focus on the people that are with us at least until this war is over"
"I know that" the other girl whispered softly turning and pushing her face into the younger girls shoulder rubbing her eyes against the soft fabric. "I know these aren't for him I just wanted to do something to remember him if only just a little"
Alice simply nodded putting her arms around her friend as Karen began to cry softly against her shoulder. She knew that Rumor would have loved the lollipops if he was still alive and she wanted to let Karen know that but somehow she couldn't find the words just then. Instead she opted to press her face into the other girls hair silently crying along with her.
